Gratitude and honor to the Lhaq’temish people

With deep respect and gratitude, Smoky Raven Creative acknowledges that we operate on the ancestral lands of the Lummi Nation, known in their own language as the Lhaq’temish or People of the Sea. As a business serving Tribal organizations throughout Washington State and Alaska, we recognize our responsibility to honor the original stewards of these lands and waters.

We acknowledge the historical and ongoing significance of the Treaty of Point Elliott of 1855, and recognize the enduring relationship between the Lummi Nation and these lands. As a business committed to serving the 29 Tribes of Washington and Alaska Native Tribes, we strive to conduct our operations with cultural awareness and respect for Indigenous sovereignty.

Our commitment extends beyond mere words. Through our business practices and services, we aim to support Tribal organizations in their important work, recognizing that meaningful acknowledgment must be paired with action. We are dedicated to building lasting partnerships with Tribal organizations, guided by respect for their sovereignty, cultures, and traditions.

We invite our clients, partners, and community members to join us in recognizing and honoring the continuing presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples in our region. Together, we can work toward relationships built on mutual respect, understanding, and genuine partnership.
